The Problems Faced by Teachers in Turkey During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Their Opinions Abstract The aim of this research is to reveal the problems faced by teachers in the education period during COVID-19 pandemic and to discuss their opinions regarding the process. As one of the qualitative research methods, the phenomenology pattern was used in the research. The study group consists of 80 teachers selected by using purposeful criterion sampling technique who work at public and private schools in different provinces of Turkey in 2019-2020 academic year. Within the context of the results of this study, it is observed that EBA TV/education portal plays an important role in meeting the educational needs of students and ensuring the continuity of education in COVID-19 pandemic process. Considering the themes and opinions that stand out in the context of teachers’ opinions, EBA TV/education portal is considered positive while there are problems with content, presentation and connection. According to the findings, the most common problems faced by the teachers during COVID-19 pandemic are students’ technical and hardware problems related to the internet connection, the inability of students to maintain their motivation to learn, the inability of parents to create a learning environment, and the lack of their support at home for their children. The majority of teachers have the opinion that the psychology of the students has been negatively affected during COVID-19 pandemic process, but there are also the students who could adapt to this process. An important finding in this study is that teachers think that their colleagues do not have necessary skills to use technology and they are low in motivation to use distance education technologies. Education during Covid19: Islamic perspectives on ethics for new media users for teachers and students Abstract With the current situation of Covid19 outbreaks and the execution of lockdowns and social restrictions and distancing, people are turning to the use of smart technologies to communicate and perform daily activities. In fact, current education scenario during Covid19 has increased the need to use new media in the teaching and learning processes. In order to be a good user of the new media technology, Muslims must advocate to the principles of upholding knowledge and guidance from truthful sources of knowledge such as the Quran and Hadith to avoid becoming deviant users of the new media. The main objective of this paper is to present the Islamic perspectives in terms of the ethics of using the new media in education during covid19. This concept paper analyses data extracted from referencing secondary sources such as academic journal articles, scholarly books and online newspaper articles to understand new media and the current online distance learning situations taking place during the Covid19 phenomena. The impact of digital leadership on teachers’ technology integration during the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait

When the education system was overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic, school principals had to take on the mantle of digital literacy by ensuring that teachers and learners attained and utilized digital tools and platforms. This study aims to explore the impact of digital leadership among school principals on teachers’ technology integration during the COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait. This quantitative study used two surveys, the Principal Technology Leadership Assessment, and the Teacher Technology Integration Survey. The sample consisted of 113 school principals and 404 teachers from public elementary schools in Kuwait. The study revealed that digital leadership among school principals had a positive impact on teachers’ technology integration during the COVID-19 pandemic. Discussion and implications for policymakers, school principals, and future research are introduced.
